Saeedeh Pooraghayi (Amayi) was a young Iranian woman whose body was buried in Section 302 of Teheran's Behesht-e-Zahra cemetery; she was the only child of a greathearted martyr, Abbas Pooraghayi (Amayi). Saeedeh Pooraghayi was arrested by thug Basiji* forces in civilian clothes during one night of post-election unrests due to shouting Allah-o Akbar** from the rooftop of their home on Dowlat street.
She was savagely raped after being arrested and then they barbarously killed her. These aggressor Basiji forces burnt her body with chemical acid from the top of her feet to the top of her head in order to hide this abominable crime and then they put her family under severe pressure to tell she was died because of kidney disease.
According to the reports; she had just turned 17 when this tragedy happened. The authorities had asked her family to pay an amount of money so as to give her dead and burnt body back to her family but whereas the family could not afford paying the requested money; governmental forces buried her namelessly at plot number 302 in Behesht-e-Zahra cemetery.
*Basij is a paramilitary volunteer militia founded by the order of the Ayatollah Khomeini in November 1979. Basiji forces are subordinate to, and receive their orders from, the Islamic Revolutionary Guards and current Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.
**At night people shout "Allah-o-Akbar" from their rooftops to protest against the recent fraudulent presidential election's in Iran.
